Zigbee is a new bidirectional wireless communication technology. It is based on the IEEE 802.15.4 wireless standard with some significant advantages such as close-transmission, low-complexity, low-cost, low data rate and so on compared with other wireless standard. Zigbee is suitable for businesses with small data traffic and it can support small-scale-based wireless communications, control and automation.Compared to common wireless communication standards, Zigbee protocol is compact and simple. It is easy to achieve specific requirements. Zigbee protocol is made by both IEEE 802.15.4 and Zigbee Union, including physical layer, data link layer, network layer, application layer. The cooperation of each level can ensure the normal transmission of informationThe biggest drawback of Zigbee is that nodes have very limited energy, storage space and computing ability. Nodes are usually randomly arranged in a complex environment and low cost may bring the possibility of energy shortage. Large-scale data acquisition may bring the danger of congestion in the condition of limited hardware limits, cause large consumptions of nodes or even network paralysis. These problems make the reliability of data transmissions in Zigbee network under great restriction.Aim to these issues, this paper improves the traditional AODVjr based on Zigbee node roles and remaining energy (for short RRAj). The algorithm takes both residual energy and node role factor into account to establish a reliable path and decide the direction of packet forwarding which can avoid unnecessary energy consumption. At the same time by setting up network inner counter and critical values of energy level the algorithm can record network status and adjust network routing dynamically to make full use of sufficient-energy nodes and protect low-energy nodes. By using the simulation platform of OMNET++ and comparing the new algorithm with traditional AODVjr it proves that the algorithm ensures a better network lifetime and improves reliability of data transmissions.The paper improves ZICL which is used in MESH Cluster network on basis of RRAj algorithm. The improved LBZL algorithm chooses candidate gateway node for clusters at stage of cluster division and simplifies cluster routing by searching for one-hop routing which improves the efficiency of information transmission. It also rebuilds the relationship between father and son according to energy state and stability of communication between candidate parent node and none-routing terminal node. The algorithm shows good performance in improving the survival and keeping load balancing ,the simulation result proves its performance.
