The Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) technology is considered as one of the most promising breakthrough technology and hot issue of research in the area of wireless communication. It can inhance the channel capacity and make it possible to transmit in high date and oppose the influence of fading of radio channel effectively.As framework technology of the next generation of wireless communication, MIMO technology is an inevitable path to make full use of the spatial resource in order to improve utilization rate of spectrum. Wireless communication theory and transmission technology based on MIMO technology has great potential and development prospect.The model of MIMO radio channel is analyzed in the paper and the statistic model of MIMO channel is given.Concept of GA principle and characteristic is introduced and program GA used in the paper is studied. Effection of MIMO Spatial correlation on MIMO capacity be discussed and based on this, the object function for linear array and circular array capacity optimization are built separately. On the condition of the limited distance, the antenna array structures is worked out and the structure of antenna array is optimized. That all based on the GA optimal program. Besides ,considering the effection of antenna array spatial correlation ,It construct the optimization objective function based on channel capacity model and optimize the structure of antenna array on the condition of the limited circle areas. Finally, the mutual coupling of MIMO be analyzed, then effect on MIMO transmission performance particular the effection of mutual coupling on the array correlation. Effection of signal and optimization of structure of antenna while element of antenna array mutual coupling. An optimized method of calculating antenna impedance matrix based on GA is proposed in consideration of the coupling effect. The result can provide data for the consequence antenna structure design.The simulation results show that on condition of imitated total length for antenna array, the striation can be optimal when taking the array interval as the only variable and the 2 elements in the middle of 4 element linear array close to each other while 4 elements of circular array distribution in the circumference as Butterfly shapes can be the optimal structure. For circle area of constrained radius, 4 elements antenna array distribution in the center of circle center within 1.5 wavelength area, reached the optimal structure.
