Today space science is developing rapidly, satellite observation is a effectual and indispensable technological method of weather forecast and meteorology science research. It can provide important services for agriculture, industry, sailing, forest industry, water conservancy and military support. MTSAT series satellite is a project implemented by Japan Meteorology Agency. The meteorology satellite cloud images observed by MTSAT have good real-time, numerous covering, great information features. The forecast and data analysis of our country, southeast asia and Oceania are based on MTSAT.This dissertation mainly analyze the develop condition of meteorology satellite observation of our country at the present stage and application condition of satellite cloud images reception technology in every field. It mainly introduces the data collection and processing of low resolution cloud images and discourses a work principle, implement and method of a key technology of data procurement, image processing, display system based on computer.In the receiving and processing system of meteorology satellite cloud images, data acquisition and conservation at a real time and image processing are both key implementation technologies. To achieve this research project, the key content are below:1.Deeply understand the format of satellite cloud images, we can make a distinction on synochronized signal and images signal through the analysis of format of satellite cloud images.2.To adopt two buffers reception mode that is to apply buffers in both memory and video memory, to produce a hard break for receive signal by A/D transition end signal.3. To calculate a division ratio of frequency demultiplier by using sampling theorem. It produces sampling pulse.4. Deeply understand the phasing signal and realizes the synchronous of sampling pulse and image signal by using phasing signal to clear frequency demultiplier.5. To promote arithmetic efficiency of gray scale computer by using the method of checking table alternation.After the research of technique and theory of this subject, real-time reception, color processing, storage display of satellite cloud images are realized. It also achieved low cost of satellite cloud image reception, stronger commonality and convenient deployment. It immensely push forward extensive application of meteorology satellite cloud image in every field.
