P2P is a self-organizing system, whose node is a peer node. In this system, every peer node with an equal status called autonomous entitiy can realize distributed resource sharing and non-center services idea. With the extensive application of P2P technology, its network structure has developed from centralized mode, fully distributed mode, hybrid mode to structured mode. However, mobile P2P search resource technology still can not meet complicated and changeable requirement of Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET). Take Chord, Pastry, and CAN technology of structured mode for example, they all operate on immobile network and also deal with nodes join, leave and failure. But the results are unsatisfactory. In the mobile ad hoc network, these search resources resources technology of P2P on immobile network can not fit random mobility of node, change of bandwidth, power and topology.A search resources protocol of P2P overlay network called Part Infection Protocol (PIP) on the mobile ad hoc network (MANET) was proposed to fit nodes move and topology change of MANET. A node with PIP can search resources just like flooding mode, and restrainedly transmit the information to the other nodes by moving on complicated and unstable MANET. PIP protocol can adapt P2P overlay network for complex and unstable MANET and successful search P2P resources. This protocol can be operated on ad hoc, IEEE802.11 and IEEE802.15 network. The Part Infection Protocol Model for simulation was established on the Network Simulator-2 System. The simulation results showed that the search resources technology is able to meet the requirements of the P2P overlay network.
