Research And Implementation Of Multi-Dimensional Portal System In Digital Library Under Open Source Enironment

With rapid development of the digital library, constant richening of information resource, continuous appearing of new application and technology and increasing of the customer's demands, today's portal system hardly meet the need of the development of digital library. So this paper put forward a new modal of digital library portal system.Digital library multi-dimensional portal system is a kind of multi-dimensional portal, which focus on personal portal (it is a sub-portal of the portal, in which the user can attain personalized service), access horizontal portal through personal portal to attain service in width, access vertical portal through horizontal portal to attain service in depth, and present the information in vertical portal to horizontal portal and personal portal. In addition, the interaction among the users is highly improved, which resolves the problem of information isolated island.In this system the author adopts open source software Liferay Portal as distributed resource platform, analyzes its architecture, technology feature and the service provided, and puts forward the solution to building up multi-dimensional portal based on Liferay. Meanwhile, the author has achieved personal portal, horizontal portal and vertical portal. The system makes use of the open source structure such as Hibernate, Struts and Spring, conforms Portal function put forward by JCP JSR168 and achieves Single Sign On, authority management, personalized customization and content integration and management. After analyzing open source project CAS, the system integrates a variety of subsystems and resource in digital library; after analyzing the core technology of Web2.0, the system achieves Web2.0 service such as blog, RSS, wiki, etc. The paper includes the detail of system analysis and modules design, implementation, testing and optimizing.
