The Design And Implementation Of Data Repository Based On Open Source

With the development of Internet, scholars all over the world had created plentiful academic resources, in order to enhance the academic exchanges and sharing of information, Data Repository had attracted Digital libraries' attention. At the same time, accompanied by the development of web2.0, many digital library OSSs (Open Source Software) had appeared, while the majority of them only implemented one role of the OAI protocol, either DP (Data Provider) or SP (Service Provider). The author designed The Data Respository System Based On Open Source integrated two roles DP and SP in this system, it not only can work as DP harvested by other SPs, but also can work as SP to harvest the data resources from DPs which support OAI protocol.The design and implementation of The Data Respository System based on OAI protocol, METS standard and OSSs. Fristly, this paper made an in-depth research of the OAI protocol, METS standard and the OSSs used in this system, and then made a detail introduction of design of the Data Repository system.By use of J2EE, JMS, XML technologies and OSSs, finished DP and SP of Data Repository System, the design and implementation of digital object exchange module is based on METS standard. Besides, function of system management and log management were implemented. After the system implementation, integration with digital library system is finished.Finally, the paper made a summary for the The Data Respository System, and proposed some suggestions for later research.
