Research And Implementation Of Common Resources And Configuration Data Management For Integrated Switching Network Management System

China has applied the network management system (NMS) for switch network operation and management for many years, the NMS system plays a key role in the network management. However, the upcoming of emerging technologies such us intelligent solid network, NGN and 3G technologies, demand consolidated and more comprehensive network management, the original NMS system because it can not support multiple network structures, its poor extendibility is no longer satisfying telecom operator's requirements for network management.In this article, we proposed a consolidated network resource data model definition platform for the object management platform (OMP) concept implementation. The platform supports flexible and rapid resource object definition, which provides the basic data model for implementing the TMN recommended network management functions. With help the definition platform, NMS system is able to achieve comprehensive network management functions such as accurate position, analysis and correlated analysis for key alarms and network performance.The essential of the consolidated resource data platform is based on the careful study of the existing network elements and based on the sophisticated methodology to extract the common features of all the network elements to establish a consolidated and unified resource data model, based on the data model we developed a highly configurable and flexible object definition platform. In the thesis, the methodology for the data model analysis and extraction will be elaborated, and based on the real network environment the implementation of the definition platform will be fully discussed as well.
