As the computing and network technologies develop so fast, the growing, autonomic and diversiform network resources can not be managed by centralized control. The core mechanism of the virtual computing environment is the aggregation and collaboration of network resource and its purpose is to provide integrative environment for user. The operating support platform provides basic service for the task running in iVCE and it's important for validating the idea and mechanism of iVCE. This paper is to design and implement a steady, reasonable and secure platform that meets the architecture and key concepts of iVCE.The OSP (Operating Support Platform) is designed to demonstrate the idea of iVCE. The task scheduling module dispatches tasks for resource aggregation and the task managing module commits centralized control for task collaboration. It can not demonstrate the concept of autonomic element. It provides useful fundamental work for further step of research. After further research of iVCE, the VOSP (iVCE Operating Support Platform) is designed whose foundations and interfaces are defined more definitely. Its three-tier architecture is bottom-up containing resource layer, business layer and application layer. The VOSP supports iVCE by resource organizing, business logic, application management, etc. In addition, the VOSP provides other protection such as role control and secure mechanism. Preliminary experiments show that the VOSP can demonstrate the idea of iVCE and can provide preferable fundamental service.
