LBS (Location Based Service), a service providing the users with information service that is needed and location-related through key technical support, is becoming a hot topic in every area study and economic growth point. LBS can be used in many field of application, and modern logistics is one of the fields with a big potentiality. LBS for logistics management system is a service through LBS-related techniques which is designed and developed for the application in modern logistics system, in order to decrease the cost of logistic supply chain, gain a competitive advantage, reduce the stocks and bullwhip effect, and accelerate the cash flow for the enterprises. This thesis analyzes present situation and system requirements of logistics and elucidates the implementation method of logistics management system based on LBS.This system uses RFID automatic identification technology and mobile positioning technology to achieve the management of goods into and out of stock house and tracking positioning; use mobile communication network technology as technical support of information transmission; adopt GIS with the purpose of the integration of information, management and visual analysis. The achievement of business logic use Java language to compose, issue united LBS service, and adopt SOA model of Webservice. The client is realized by Ajax, rich Internet application technology, having many features, such as message asynchronous communication, part refresh of pages and so on, including JavaScript, XMLHttpRequest, CSS and related technologies.The thesis consists of the f??wing three parts. First of all, it gives a brief narration of the purpose and significance of thesis's topic, the present research situation at home and abroad, as well as the study aims and main contents; after analyzing the system requirements in response to the industry's present situation, it analyzes overall system design, configuration of operational environment-related configuration and system architecture model design; on this basis , it gives a seriatim introduction about each of key technologies on LBS and logistics such as RFID,GPS, Mobile Communication Network, GIS etc. Second, the engineered design and the system enablement be made, and besides, it displays LBS logistics system with simulation application effect in the thesis. Finally, the conclusion of this paper gives us a summary of the research achievement and further prospects.The thesis has a comprehensive utilization of RFID automatic identification technology, the integrated application of spatial information and mobile communication technology, mobile real-time location technology, and wireless communication network. It also, by combing the characteristics of the logistics industry itself, realizes the entire process of the effective flow of related information from the starting point to the end. This system has transportation, storage, handling, processing, finishing, distribution and information combined, and lets them from a complete supply chain to provide users with multi-functional, integrated and comprehensive LBS service. The simulation realization of the system will have a deep and far-reaching significance on the application of modern logistics and LBS service.
