The Design And Implementation Of English Online Exam And Marking System

With the development of globalization, English education attracts more and more attention of Chinese people. Developing a system of English Online Test and Marking will play an important role in expanding English education methods and integrating English education recourses in maximal way. So far, researches on Online Test and Intelligent Marking both home and abroad have accomplished certain findings. However, the systems that are rightly running, such as PEG, LSA and so on, are not perfect yet, and can not meet the requirements of English learners in China. The English Online Test and Marking System in this thesis is just designed for resolving this contradiction between supply and requirement, which possesses relatively high research values and society values.On the base of the relevant theories of online test and intelligent marking, the thesis puts forward a technical route which is based on J2EE lightweight framework and adopts Natural Language Processing technology and sentence similarity computing algorithm.Comparing with other recent similar systems, it makes test managing more simply, test paper composing more scientifically, and marking more intelligently.The main work of the thesis includes:①Analyze the research situation both home and abroad; decide the research contents, including the design of J2EE lightweight framework, database, the regularity of test item management, the science of test paper composing, the perfectness of intelligent marking.②Sort out the theories and technology introductions, including J2EE, Spring, Struts, Hibernate, Natural Language Processing, and sentence similarity computing.③Obtain the requirement analysis of the system; decide the use case and describe the function requirements and security requirements in detail.④Adopting object-oriented methods, draw the flow charts of each sub-system, and design their function details.⑤Program with JSP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML, take the system into implementation, and carry out the system test.English Online Test and Marking System takes the real application requirements as its development background and adopts the technologies of Struts, Spring, Hibernate, Natural Language Processing, and sentence similarity computing, which is well used in reality and brings the users much perfect application experience. The running effect of this system is relatively great.
