Cropland grading is an important component of land evaluation, the main purposes of which are quantitating the quantity, quality and distribution of cropland scientifically, according to the law pulling off the management of cropland reasonably and unitively, and achieving the balance of arable land, what's more, from land management on land of number to on quantity, quality and ecology in phase, finally make use of agricultural land scientifically. Agricultural land classification can provide a scientific basis for some works, such as land consolidation, balance of arable land, protection of basic farmland, straightening out the land price system, cultivating the land market perfectly, valuation of agricultural land, promoting the distribution of land assets rationally, land requisition compensation and circulation of rural collective land use right and so on.The article as a platform to MAPGIS, based on the database, as the core to evaluatation model, develop county-level GIS-based classification of cropland information system. To achieve in the same platform of cropland classification, gradation of information storage, retrieval, updating, management, analysis and evaluation, display and map the functions of generation, to achieve a variety of rating models and qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, classification methods and integrating computing environment. It provides integration and visualization of the information platform to the classification of county-level cropland.A system development and their practical application for the main purpose of the study , and address the following issues: (1)Make analysis and research on frame and function of county-level cropland information systems.(2)Use structured methods of systems design, analysis the system feasibility including the system's objectives and the feasibility (technology, economy, and running). As the system development to the main line, identify objectives, design principles and the overall structure of the system. (3) On the basis of in-depth study of the elements of cropland classifications, as the goal of spatial analysis and serving for users, establish county-level cropland grading and assessment information system. (4) MAPGIS6.6 for the secondary development platform , as VC++ for the development of language, develop and debug county-level cropland information systems.(5) Applicating county-level cropland information system, classify county-level cropland in the Wuqi county on the basis of spatial information data of agricultural land of Wuqi county. At the same time, performance and reliability evaluation of systems are verified.
