The information-processing mechanism dealing with the outside information of neural system has always been concerned. To study the mechanism of neural system could help realize the biologic function in essence and enhance the ability of bionics. In this paper, neural information is considered strings of irregular pulse sequence. The main task of neural system is to deal with these sequences.This paper simulates the information process of neural system by applying code of single neuron principle. Based on applying spiking neural model, we use pulse sequence instead of outside signal to input a neuron .Then we get a string of output pulse sequence and extract the string of symbol sequence contained in output pulse sequence. Finally we use the symbol sequence to express the outside information to achieve the objective of identification information. Major contributions of this dissertation are as follows:(1) By studying the characteristic of the outside information, the theory of order space is introduced. In order space, we only concern about the relative values rather than absolute values. This paper applies the theories of circle maps and symbol dynamics in order space to code the output pulse sequence, then analyses the relationship between outside information and output symbol sequence.(2) H-H model and Izhikevich model are applied in the simulation. Experimentally, the input pulse sequence with the same cycle and with the unequal cycle act on H-H model respectively. The experimental results show that the output symbol sequence corresponds with the input sequence. Then the same input sequence act on Izhikevich model. The experimental results also show that the output symbol sequence corresponds with the input sequence.(3) The theory of order space is adopted to study the functions of biosonar. The method of interaural time difference is used to estimate the objective. According to the characteristic of sound, monophonic and multi- monophonic pulse sequence act on H-H model and Izhikevich model. The experimental results show that the objective can be identified by output symbol sequence.
