With the computer network technology and distance learning technology, e-learning has become an important way of learning at information age. All types of schools and educational institutions began to deploy their own VOD system, through which a growing number of learners started their course. Especially the learners have stronger dependency on their teachers in our country, under the circumstances, video teaching resource, which can transmit images and voices of teachers, become the major media for modern to study. However, these existing video application systems are rift with the following questions:1. Characteristic of personality is not obvious. Providers show their video resources according to their own patterns of organization, but not to the user's personal demand. It resulted in the following contradiction: on the one hand, educational institutions have a large number of video teaching resources idled; on the other hand, end-users need to look for video resources in a number of video systems to their own individual requirements.2. It is difficult to share between video application systems. Because of the different platforms and languages used in different systems, various video applications are independent of each other, data is dispersed, collaboration is hard and sharing of information among multiple applications is very difficult.3. Certification systems are not uniform. Video application systems usually have their own independent user authentication system. Using resources of multiple video applications, users need to continually repeat the process of certification, impacting users'experience and causing that the security of user identity declined significantly. Some video application systems don't use an effective authentication method of cryptography, reducing significantly the security of the system. The existence of these problems enables the research of video resource integration to be a research topic, which has a strong realistic significance. To this end, this thesis treats portal technology as a junction, tries doing something for the integration of video resources, thinks inspiration to the video resource integration from the technology, and proposes solutions on personalization, information integration, unified authentication and so on. At the same time, based on the existing video application systems in Henan Normal University, it designs the structure of the video resource portal system and achieves the main functionality to the portal system. When it designs video resource portal, this thesis takes fully into account users'individual requirements, meets them from the theme, layout and custom content, combining the functions of Liferay platform. Authorized users are free to use different theme and layout, and can free custom video resource information of page display according to their own preferences and needs.Allowing for the isomerism of the existing video application systems, the article based on in-depth study to Web Service technology, combines with technologies such as SOAP and WSDL to build video information services in the form of Web Service, coalesces with liferay platform to integrate and achieves a cross-platform of the video portal system.Combining with CAS authentication system and LDAP directory services of Yale University, this paper also analyzes a variety of security authentication modes, designs a uniform identity authentication system model, and integrates with the Liferay platform.Comprehensively using the video-on-demand technology, Portal technology, unified authentication, directory services and so forth, this paper studies the portal technology in the video resource portal application, taking the case of video resource portal to Henan Normal University.
