Since 1980's, the machine vision system are more and more widely used in electrical and mechanical manufacturing, electronic information, tobacco, packaging, metallurgy, steel, defense industry, military manufacturing, aerospace and other industries, and entered the stage of sustained and rapid growth. The international application of the visual system are in the ascendant and the market size up to 4.6 billion U.S. dollars in 1998, was 90 billion U.S. dollars in 2007, forecast to 15 billion U.S. dollars in 2012, while in the country, machine vision systems is still in the stage of a concept into and the current domestic market size is about 200 million U.S. dollars. With the development of automated production lines, using the vision inspection system to replace the traditional measurement by the human eyes will be the inevitable trend for greatly improve the detection efficiency.The problem which research and development a integrity inspection and monitoring systems, having independent intellectual property rights, cost-effective and high universal property, setting the machine vision technology, image processing algorithms etc in one and including image acquisition, storage, processing, communications and control module are put forward. This paper presents the visual tool, design and development a system software platform.The part of the visual tools analysis the theoretical principles of the image processing algorithms, achieve the application for the algorithms with the modular thinking, assembled into the tool algorithm module combining with the series and parallel modules manner, use the interrelated manner to combine the system tool and test algorithms module and tool module occupied by the operation time and stability to verity the efficiency and stability by the actual case detection.The inspection and monitor system center is visual tool, using the configuration software tool to set or modify the module parameters, calling the modules function and flexible assembly system and configuration tool, development the image display,visual tool area,feedback result area,associate tool area,statistical data area and feedback inspection area to display the data and configuration information.This papers design and development the inspection tools of the pre-processing,positioning,counting,measurement and defect detection with the modular idea, complete the inspection tools link to the inspection and monitoring system and embedded systems, achieve designing and development the overall software of the inspection and monitoring system.,test the feasibility of the algorithm module and the high-performance and stability of the system tools.Users can easily to combination the detection tools and flexible to add detection module while not understanding the algorithm in the procedure and the configuration information can be off-line operation and connected to the intelligent terminal, PLC to achieve the purpose of detection and monitoring the inspection anytime, anywhere.
