This paper describes the analysis, design and implementation of the concrete management system of GOYOU company. This is a typical transaction processing systems (TPS) and its special nature is using the Japanese DoCoMo mobile phone as the hand-hold data collecting device.In architecture, we often need to examine and supervise the quality of the construction project, such as the material quality and strength. The examination results should be identified, recorded and archived digitally and be sent to the company's data center. In order to improve the efficiency of the on-the-spot examination, the GOYOU architecture technology institute advice using mobile phone as the data collecting client and commission our company develop a prototype system which includes data collecting, statements summary etc. for the most urgent concrete management transaction to evaluate the technical feasibility and economic feasibility. If the feasibilities are satisfied, the prototype system will be extended to a product system and be popularized as a product in this trade.The scale of this system is not big, but the technology used has some nondeterminacy. Therefore, we adopt the waterfall model and short development cycle in programming in order to verity key technologies as early as possible and regulate the development direction in time. After several incremental development cycles, we will get the user satisfied product system. We use UML as the main analysis and describe language to realize the software definition and system design. NTT DoCoMo mobile phone is used in the client side, which support DoJa 3.5 or above to develop i-Mode application programs. In order to decrease the cost, we use the micro server with low power CPU based on VIA and open-source software. The OS is FreeBSD, running Tomcat as the application container and the programming language is Java. The key technologies include Servlet, HTTP communication and JDBC database access etc. I worked for this project as the main developer during the system design, realization and disposition phrase. My work includes designing and realizing the communication protocol, storage management in the client, network communication and data access in the server etc.
