Wireless Sensor Networks integrate the technologies of sensor, data gathering and wireless communication, which are usually deployed in large areas to collect information about the environment and becoming more and more popular. In applications such as monitoring soldiers, precious resources and wild animals, how to protect location privacy of these sensitive objects is a very important research area. This paper first introduces the basic architecture, features and applications of Wireless Sensor Networks and analyzes the difficulties in security research of WSN, analyzes Source-Location privacy, Sink-Location privacy and attack models respectively. Then several existing algorithms are introduced and compared in terms of energy control, Safety Performance and message latency. This paper makes a theoretic analysis of packet tracing under the random forwarding strategies. By modeling the random forwarding strategy, this paper analyses the relationship between the length of forward path and the forwarding probability, as well as the relationship between security time and forwarding probability. Finally we use Omnet++ network simulator to emulate the theoretical analysis and deduce, simulation results show that our network model assumptions and attack model is reasonable, and the security time derived from the formula is also compared with the actual situation. The theoretical results of this paper has great significance for the random forwarding strategy in wireless sensor networks. As to the problem of Sink location privacy under multi-source nodes, this paper did some research about the relationship among the probability of fake packet, security and energy cost of LPR protocol. The results show that increasing the probability of fake packet, the security may not be better. Combining fake packet and fake sink, we this paper proposes the enhanced protocol of protecting receiver-location privacy in wireless sensor networks(ELPR), and comparing these two protocols, the simulation show that ELPR is capable of providing stronger protection for the receiver's location privacy the LPR. In the end, this paper concludes its contribution and future research directions.
