GPS Vehicle Monitor System can monitor vehicles' condition in real-time, by accurate locating, communication techniques and electronic map. GPS vehicle monitoring information management system greatly improves the development and application of modern enterprises management. It also generates enormous economic and social benefits. GPS vehicle monitoring system consists of three major components: GIS platform, business data management platform, GPS monitoring service support platform. As an important component of GPS vehicle monitoring system, GPS vehicle monitoring services support platform can provide standard GPS vehicle device monitoring service for GIS monitoring platform and business data management platform, based on the support of GPS device.This paper in-depth analyzes the characteristics of mainstream domestic GPS products and enterprise GPS vehicle management applications, and then provides a GPS vehicle monitoring support platform system based on J2EE architecture. This system is developed on Java platform, implementing message transmission system of object data transfer; NIO technology and multi-threading provide more powerful high-concurrent TCP data processing, greatly improve the stability and efficiency of the system, they also improve CPU utilization, save system resources. The platform proposed the concepts of device proxy, transforming different types of device protocols into independent device proxy modules, and then implements seamless transparent GPS device monitoring service through unified GPS vehicle device service interface protocol. This design makes up of the weakness of insufficient support for different types of GPS devices access of general systems which were designed for single GPS device, facilitates the concept of Object-Oriented engineering to implement the processing mechanism for up/down link commands, and ensures the scalability and robustness of the system. Meanwhile, it implements real-time management on all components, through remote data management module based on Java visual programming. This platform provides a stable, efficient and comprehensive GPS device monitoring support service for the upper applications of GPS system, and good design ideas and technical guidance for the development of supporting platform using other programming languages.In the end, this paper summarizes the research and development work of implementing the platform. And further elaborates on the future follow-ups of expansion and improvement on the system.
