Design And Application Of IP Broadband Metropolitan Area Network Quality Assessment System

As market competition intensifies, the major domestic telecom carriers are increasing emphasis on customer service satisfaction, take various means to obtain network operation metrics, and has increased the quality of service in Broadband IP MAN, and China Telecom has assessed broadband customer's satisfaction for two years. Netcom, Railcom, and other operators also have similar requirements. The IP Broadband MAN quality assessment system is arising from the context of these needs. The system will acquire the value of a key metrics of the business , and come to test scores through a pre-determined strategy to score. The higher unit can assess the broadband IP MAN service quality of the lower unit through the results of the system.This thesis's main task is to study the design for quality assessment module, and in practical application. This paper begin from the base of the network management and quality management theory , analyze the business indicators combined with the two basic needs of the system ,and describe the structure of the system, and then, describe the system way of acquisition and calculation , and design specific ways to achieve system according to the analysis of the requirement, and lastly, through illustrating the practical application of case , this paper describe the deploy and appilication of the system.The thesis is according with the software system development process , from requirement analysis, system design to implementation, study the realization of quality assessment systems .The ultimate realization of assessment subsystem includes the following modules: network quality assessment module, the user speed module and the two rate module; assess to the following user's services business's indicators : the packet core network transmission quality, the connection speed of user to focus site , the abnormal drop rate and the port rate target rate of user access;The system has been deployed in the following actual user's business : China Telecom, Shanxi Telecom, Guangxi Telecom, and so five more provincial telecommunications companies, Shanxi Railcom, Shandong's Railcom, the Beijing Railcom, and other three Railcom companies above the provincial level;All of the users that apply the system , will make this system to be included in the actual process operation. And the system has also become an important means of subordinate units work performance evaluation.
