Ad hoc network is a wireless network that doesn't need any station or fixed infrastructure with the characteristics of independent networking, self-organizing, dynamic topology, multi-tops router etc. It can organize network quickly by local communication. Along with the development of wireless communication technology, Ad hoc network research, especially the routing protocol, is highly regarded. But the Ad hoc network nodes high-speed mobility, transmission bandwidth limited, energy limited make great challenges on Ad hoc routing protocol research. In the past two years, researchers from the organization for the wireless network, puts forward a series of routing protocols, such as DSDV, CGSR, as a representative of the active routing protocols; DSR, AODV, represented by the passive routing protocols; and the mixed routing protocols. Along with the development of GPS positioning system, GPS positioning system is applied in Ad hoc networks as the supplementary that becomes another focus of Ad hoc routing protocol research. In Ad hoc network, location information can avoid redundant control information costs when searching for routes. Using adjacent node and destination node location information, can improve the efficiency of the routing. Typical geographic location information routing protocols include LAR and GPSR.This thesis mainly researches Ad hoc routing protocols in depth. Based on current location information routing protocols, we put forward a new Location Ellipse Zone Routing protocol. Make full use of the characteristics of ellipse to improve the performance of the routing in elliptic zone to reduce the scope of route request and the control information cost of routing. Elliptical regional naturally includes nodes behind node. So it overcomes geographical position routing protocols routing empty faults. Simultaneously we adopt location information broadcast mechanism on position trigger. When the mobile distances of a node overrun the threshold, the node begins to broadcast the location information. Comparing with the time period broadcast on location information mechanism, position-trigger strengthens the effectiveness of geographic location information, reduces the unnecessary position information broadcasting and guarantees the network resource utilization. The thesis also proposes wireless signals fluctuations impact Ad hoc multi-hop routing. In order to study existing routing protocol in the actual environment, we establish the performance test-bed of Ad hoc network. In the experiment, because of the difference of the actual network environment and theory, wireless signals are interfered by various factors. Therefore, wireless signal fluctuation interferes routing apparently, such as single direction route, frequently switching, and unstable multi-hop route. By the accumulation of large quantities of data analysis, we set up a wireless signal fluctuation mathematical model, and the quantitative analysis of simulation for wireless signal fluctuation in Ad hoc network.
