Video Coding Algorithm Research Based On Distributed Entropy Of Bit-Plane

Distributed source coding is a new technology of source compressing, based on Slepian-wolf's and Wyner-Ziv's information-theoretic results from the 1970s. Although Slepian-wolf theory and Wyner-Ziv theory were put forward more than 30 years ago, the practical solutions of distributed source coding were proposed in recent years. In addition, the Distributed source coding idea is applied into the video field, which becomes a new research hotspot: Distributed Video Coding (DVC). The greatest diffirence between distributed video coding and traditional video coding is that distributed video coding transforms the complexity from encoder to decoder, and theoretically it is not at the cost of loss of compression efficiency. Therefore, distributed video coding technology is rather adapted to the wireless terminals whose power, computer and memory capacity are limited. In addition the application in wireless surveillance systems, wireless video network and sensor networks get more and more attention.In this paper, the application of low destiny parity check in distributed video coding and the architecture of distributed video coding system are mainly researched. First, we summrize the developing history of video coding technology, then introduce the distributed video coding theory, Slepian-wolf theory, Wyner-Ziv theory and distributed video coding solution. Second, Principle and project design of Low-Density Parity-Check Codes (LDPC) are introduced. We discuss the design and construction of distributed video coding emphatically. In addition, verification of different side information estimation methods performance through several videos has been put. Finally, LDPC and multilevel coding have been applied to the pixel domain distributed video codec solution which is compared with traditional inter and intra video coding.
