With the faster development of information technology and net technology and the globalization of economy, the enterprises, especially the manufactures turn to face the continuously increasing press of competition. To survive and develop under this market environment, the enterprises must innovate and transform continuously at the aspect of production technology and management fashion. Combining with the computer application technology, enhancing the production decision level, increasing the flexibility of production, shortening of the delivery period and decreasing the cost are very important for improving of the enterpriser's competitive power.Now the ERP systems, focused on production management, such as Ufsoft, SAP, have been widely used in China, and have had good effects on the practical production management. However, the existing software is lack of the decision support functions. It's insufficient at the assisted production decision-making obviously.With the background of shipbuilding industry, this paper takes production operation as object, takes the production decision support as content, and uses the advanced information technology as the tool; it studies how to establish the Decision Support System that helps the enterprises to solve the semi-structure and non-structure problems in the production process. At first, on basis of the study process of production management decision and Decision Support System, the thesis analyzes the production management decision and its application in the decision support system, which is the essentiality and the significance of this paper. Secondly, introduces the decision theory, and then bases on the theory of Data Mining and considers the characteristics of the shipbuilding production process it analyzes and researches the production decision models at three levels. By the proper transformation of the basic linear program model and goal program model, according to character of shipbuilding order-driven model, the thesis discusses the effective method of making the overall production planning; by optimizing the goal functions and the limited conditions and considering the characteristics of the shipbuilding production models, it discourses upon the decision method of main production planning; by the discussion of the Data Mining method and decision trees classify arithmetic, it analyzes the application of decision trees arithmetic in production decision; then it specifies the system aim, decision flow, relationship with other subsystems, support system structure. It makes design of system collectivity structure, function design, database and Model Base design, code design and man-machine dialogue interface design in detail. At last, it actualizes the chief function of the system and evaluates the running statement. Based on the theory of DM, according to the character of the production order-driven and the shipbuilding production fashion, the paper brings forward the production decision models and the systematical assistant decision solution. It also develops the prototype system and provides the model-based and man-machine alternant Decision Support System to all levels of production decision, gives some reference value for the decision makers to make the production strategy, to organize the production process properly and to increase the economic benefits, especially in improving the shipbuilding production decision level and competitive power of the shipbuilding manufacturers.
