As one of the main theories of optical measuring technique,the grating moiréfringe has been used to measure the displacement,to measure the angle,to detect the disfigurement of objects,to detect the 3D object shapes and so on. However, there has been no instrument which is used to research the speciality of moiréfringe, so that this subject designs one new detecting instrument used for moiréfringe research. The structure of the new instrument can be taken down, and the process of detecting is intuitionistic. This instrument can almost detect all the characteristics of moiréfringe.This thesis detaily instroduces the theory of moiréfringe,the structure of the detecting instrument and the technique of making gratings. It uses the CCD technique and the digital image processing technique to detect moiréfringe speciality, instead of using electrooptical technology, so this proves the possibility of antomaticlly detecting moiréfringe speciality using digital image processing technique.The instrument which designed by this subject has the following advantages:1,Using neatly mechanical structure,the user can fit the pieces of a model kit together,and get the moiréfringe, in order to apprehend the theory knowledge more easily.2,The moiréfringe which was formed by Self-made gratings can be see by eyes with no other tool.3,The detecting software designed by the subject can measure the speciality of moiréfringe quickly and exactly.4,This instrument doesn't need the darkroom environment,and it has the great ability of resisting noise.The subject has used hardware and software to realize the design purpose. The result shows that the detecting instrument can get exact data in short order,and is helpful for the moiréfringe teaching work.
