The significant data can be provided through following detection of the operating EMUs, for high-speed railway operating safety and economy, but the carriage environment could be affected seriously by the arrangement of wires for detection system. So the detection is difficult to implement. Bluetooth, which is low-cost, low power consumption and confidentiality, has become the standard configuration of PDA and smart phones. It is possible to shake off astrict of cable by using Bluetooth wireless communication. The study on application of Bluetooth in EMUs comfort evaluation has been done in this paper.1) The communication principle and characteristic of Bluetooth is studied; Some relevant tests about the effectivity and reliability of Bluetooth technology in EMUs environment have been done. The tests showed that data can be transmitted at maximum speed of 460kbps in same car by using 100m Bluetooth, when train speed is less than 300km/h. The experiment on rotating platform shows that the speed and distance of Bluetooth communication can't be affected when the rotation speed is less than 350r/min.2) The definition and algorithm about trains' vibration performance and comfort in GB5595-85 and UIC513 have been researched. The index has been come true by programming, and the accuracy has been tested. The evaluation system of train comfort based on DSP+Bluetooth +PDA+GPS has been designed.3) Using DSP and AD73360, the circuit board with the function of anti-aliasing filtering and programmable gain has been designed. The data collection and communication interface program has been completed, by means of hardware flow control, data can be collected real-time and continuously, and the seamless, reliable, high-speed transmission can be implement.4) The communication methods between PDA and other Bluetooth devices have been studied. The program features of embedded operating system Windows CE have been analyzed. Using object-oriented, event-driven and multi-threaded programming, the PDA data-processing software has been completed in EVC environment. Real-time receiving, storage, computation and curve drawing of the comfort and GPS related data have been implemented. 5) The field-test has been carried out, according to the results, accuracy of the system has been compared and testified.The evaluation system of passenger comfort has been used in following test for many CRH2 EMUs, it provided much of data for safety and economy operation of EMUs on Jiaoji, Beijing-Tianjin railway. The system is advanced and practical, and has a larger value of the popularization and application.
