Hairspring is one of the kernel components of mechanical aircraft instruments, its performance directly affects mechanical aircraft instruments' reliability and veracity and plays an crucial role in safety of pilots' driving operations. Strengthening the pre-delivery inspection to ensure its reliability has positive effect on improvement of the accuracy of mechanical aircraft instruments and the driving safety of aircrafts.Firstly, this paper introduces the contents, principles and methods of hairspring detection, and analyses force and arm of force detection of precision hairspring moment detection instruments on the basis of the analysis of the hairspring characteristics. Secondly, it puts forward a hairspring detection method based on digital image processing and analyses possible errors and their elimination method as well as the system reliability design. Thirdly, this paper discusses the hardware structure of the detection system, and introduces the selection of the hardware modules and circuit design, the peripheral interface circuit design and the implementation method in detail, and it also researches into a hairspring endpoint detection algorithm based on digital image processing. Finally, this paper develops host computer software and slave control unit firmware.This paper provides a new automatic detection method and detection device of hairspring, and this system has been further improved, it could ameliorate the low detection efficiency, the delay in detection data saving and the incapability of historical data query in traditional hairspring detection method, thus guarantee the quality of hairspring.
