Design And Application Of The Highway Surveillance System

With the development of social economy, the length of the freeway has been increasing rapidly, but also has been the traffic accident and other negativity. The freeway surveillance system is one of the best ways to solve these problems. This paper, firstly analyzed the freeway surveillance technique at home and abroad, then collaborated with the image transmitting and application technique, and performance analysis of the image collecting and transmitting devices, mainly focused on the key techniques of the image transmitting, code compressing, network communication and some algorithms, studied the image pre-processing, background reconstruction, image segmentation and matching, and finally designed a all-optical digital transmitting system based on H.264 video compression algorithm. The system was used to the actual video images, and can be a foundation to the realization of travel time estimation.In this paper, the design and application scheme is presented based on video images of highway roads. In accordance with proposed scheme, and the actual project implementation and application, various basic data are collected and analyzed for the system design and application from the perspective of system function. Furthermore, it makes a basic research on how to further develop and use resources information, construct dynamic traffic data collection and information publishing system.
