In recent years, audio and video processing technology with the embedded processor combining is a hot topic in the applications of embedded product. Embedded products have been applied to various fields. For example public security, security, video surveillance end so on, when they are after the development of the analog-to-digital mixing stage, eventually the trend must be fully digitized.This paper first introduces embedded processor with audio and video technology development status and future development trends, based on this project, we carried out a detailed analysis and research in the Linux operating system platform and embedded uClinux on Blackfin build voice-based video surveillance system. Because of the demand of the whole system, this paper separately from hardware and software two parts to analysis and implementation.The part of the hardware circuit used for the frequency of the 600M data Blackfin BF533 processor, then we selection of audio converter chip AD1836, video decoder chip ADV7183, Network interface chip DM9000. This part detail introduce of the processor embedded system selection, the design of all hardware block diagram, audio/video modules, and how the data transmission and control between BF533 processor and network interface.The part of the software use open source uClinux operating system, uClinux kernel by cutting, optimization and the kernel been transplanted into BF533 processor system through u-boot bootloader after compiled. The preparation of the audio/video chip and interface drivers.Under the demand of the system at uClinux kernel is also loaded with instrument procedures FFmpeg format conversion. Finally, the system carried out laboratory testing. The results show that the procedure of compiling and installing FFmpeg in the uClinux environment based on BF533 is discussed as well as an audio/video application under such platform is described, and we also design and debug a network to transfer images chip module.
