A Research On Hero Narration In 2008 Beijing Olympic News Reporting

In the context of rapid advance in media technology and globalization being increasingly obvious, Olympic Games, this global sporting event has gradually evolved into the important position that media consolidates the national values, rebuilds the country's image and achieves social integration. For the host countries, national media combat at home, it appears especially important to achieve these goals by the usage of this golden opportunity. News, as the main carrier of media communication, must construct text systematically in order to take on this function. From a large number of Olympic news, we can find that they have used for reference of hero narrating structure of literature and shows hero narrative modeling of Olympic news, by multi-level, multi-angle, three-dimensionalization.This thesis takes news reports of 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing done by Chinese media as study text, extracts typical samples from these news reports, and carries on the inspection from the microcosmic text narration, meso-level myth narration and macroscopic ideology narration. Microscopic text narration explain text characteristic of the hero narration mainly from four aspects as follows: narrating linguistic environment, image mold, narrating model, narrating subject; meso-level text narration trace to its source mainly from narrating prototype and narrating motif; macroscopic ideology narration analyzes ultimate construction of Olympic news mainly from three aspects as follows: construction of knowledge, formation of social norms, shape the social consensus and legitimacy. Through the above-mentioned three levels of analysis, we will form systemic and scientific cognition about the operating mechanism of Olympic news text.At the end of the article, we also question closely and probe into this narrating style of news from certain angles such as media law, value philosophy, and so on. Then point out and rectify defects.
