The teaching management is facing new challenges due to the modernization of education and the development of information. Traditional safety design of teaching system is just a simple analysis of the customer needs, lacking a complete of thinking which guides the development of our project. The web-based development platform of teaching system has became a new management style. The questions, how to put the research concept of safe mode into the research and development process of network teaching system, and ensure the safe operation of the network teaching platform, have became one of the issues that the entire education system needs to be resolved. Through the thesis, we can research the safety design on higher planes, and optimize the system security by using the concept of safe mode.In the paper, based on the network teaching system platform of Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, security need is analyzed and researched in the process of system development. Using the theory of safe mode in the system design process, the author analyzes the security risks of network teaching system, proposes the security modes based on the network teaching system platform of Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute, including single sign-entrance mode, the checkpoint mode, role-based access control mode, security communication, authorization mode and security error mode, through whose research and practice to ensure the safe operation of network teaching system. In the paper, following works has been done. (1) A systematic "three levels of protection" security solution is proposed for the network teaching system platform of Shaanxi Polytechnic Institute. (2) The original safe mode is optimized by adding in new properties of restrictions, counter-examples, relevant safe mode and others. (3) The modes of secure communication and security error security are proposed, some of which are described by UML class diagrams and sequence diagram clearly and intuitively. (4) A summary of the study and a outlook of research directions is given.
