Inquisition Of Nutch's Application On Searching Network-based Learning Resources

Learning resources is indispensable during learning process.So it is very importa nt to provide learners with easy and convenient searching ways to acquire learning res ources.Nowadays,with the development of educational information technology,Inter net resource is becoming an important learning resource;this huge learning resource p rovides learners with a great learning platform and helps teachers prepare for their cla sses.At present,a majority of learners acquire learning resources through two ways:1, regular learning platform such as School of Distance Learning; 2,Search Engine(SE),like Baidu,Google and etc.With SE,we can obtain more relat ed learning resources.As a whole,the first option is applicable for the systemic study of a subject,but it will waste time looking for certain learning resources;The Second option can resolve the time-wasting problem,but it will bring along a lot of useless inf ormation that we actually need.According to the research findings of iProspect,a SE marketing corporation,more than 81%users only read the first three pages,they wou ld not spend a lot of time on second search.In order to help learners find the accurate information easily and swiftly,the thesi s aims to exploit a learning-resources-oriented topic-specific SE with Nutch.The thesi s will mainly focus on the introduction of the Apache's open-source SE--Nutch,inclu ding Nutch's work principle,Nutch's character,Nutch's system architecture,and Chin ese Words Segmentation technology.Also,a brief introduction of Semantic Web will be given in the thesis.The thesis will also try to apply Chinese Words Segmentation te chnology to Nutch-based topic-specific SE of learning resources.Chinese-based searc h can be dealt with through the SE,and in the meantime the thesis will give a brief int roduction of ontology and proceed a little with the intelligent topic-specific search eng ine.
