X-ray image is taken as the research object in this paper. combined with X-ray detection theory and scientific grade CCD camera features, a set of X-ray digital detection system is developed and the software is developed, which is applied to high or low energy X-ray system.The hardware structure of system is studied; various parts of the hardware are selected, which is based on the scientific-grade CCD camera imaging elements and features. Aiming at the main factors of nonuniformity of X-ray detection system, a calibration algorithm is put forward after the nonuniformity from X-ray detection system is discussed and analyzed. Through the experiment result, we conclude that the system nonuniformity can be effectively improved by this method and the desired results can be achieved. The common noise from X-ray detection system is analyzed, common image enhancement algorithm is contrasted, then the variable framework model on Retinex algorithm is put forward to X-ray image enhancement processing, the image information in dark areas can be effectively enhance, the low contrast of X-ray digital image can be effectively improved by this algorithm. The common image segmentation methods are discussed and analyzed, which is based on threshold segmentation and edge detection, then the local adaptive threshold segmentation algorithm is selected for extract objection of welding line, this method can be used conveniently, and weld defect can also be extracted satisfactorily. The software and hardware of the X-ray imaging system are used in weld inspection of boilers, which is based on the scientific grade CCD camera. Form the experimental results, we can see that the system resolution meet the requirements of the X-ray detection. After the transformation, the imaging system is used in high-temperature melt interface status detection, at the same time, some functions such as measurement angle and length are added according to the testing requirements, and we obtain good results.
