Research On Wireless Sensor Network Node Localization And Self-Localization

Since many applications of wireless sensor networks depend on the location information of sensor nodes,how to obtain the accurate localization has become the focus of attentions.It is obviously that the technology of wireless sensor networks will go-ahead very quickly and its applications will be wider and wider in the coming future.The research as described in this dissertation is of significance in both theoretical and application areas.This dissertation focuses on the discussion of the practical localization technologies of professional applications based on wireless sensor networks. The major analyses and findings are as follows:1.The problem of self-localization in WSN and its significance are illustrated.The characteristics,architecture,key technologies and application fields of WSN are summarized exhaustively.The research status of self-localization techniques are discussed and presented based on a great deal of related literatures and research results.2.The fundamental principles of the self-localization techniques of WSN are studied and the distance measurement methods are analyzed.The evaluation criterion of self-localization algorithm and system are described comprehensively.And the taxonomy for self-localization algorithm is presented in consideration of measurement technologies,mode,performance and cost.3.At last,the paper was studied on the application,we made an initial exploration for the hardware platform of nodes,introduced a node hardware platform which can realize node self-location,and implemented the algorithm proposed on our designed hardware platform,and supplied basic data for further research.
