With the development of modern industry, the application of 2d software can be found in many fields of industry, but the 3D Industrial Simulation software has been bottlenecked by the technology of computer simulation for a long time, which resulted itself little use in practical applications. However, in recent years, accompanied by the development of computer graphics and the rise needs of 3D gaming, the industrial simulation technology has been achieving tremendous progress, and is quickly applied to many fields of simulation applications. The development of virtual reality technology is particularly noticeable. Many countries have been scrambling to invest a large amount of human resource and equipments to improve the simulation technology, specially for the use of practical application. Based on this background, this paper developed an unified Virtual Platform for Disassembly& Assembly(VPDA) on the basis of Delta3D, and does some research work on several key points. As an abstract layer for upper application, VPDA should be composited of unified modules as far as possible, and not specifically for a particular application, so as to reduce the degree of coupling between modules and improve platform robustness and flexibility. In this paper, the Unified Modeling Language UML is used to achieve the platform's overall architecture and design. The node management, manual and automatic disassembly & assembly of VPDA are also discussed detailed, then this paper use the Open Scene Graph engine (OSG) to achieve the virtual disassembly & assembly, nodes'management of assembly parts, the logic of disassembly & assembly, 3D simulation environment and the rapid development of the special effects. In order to improve the virtual environment's reliability in the interactive disassembly & assembly, this paper analyzes the limitations of the mainstream collision detection algorithm emphatically. And take a example of motor vehicle's disassembly, a solution to Collision Detection Framework Program in scene with large number of parts is promoted, and based on Open Dynamic Engine (ODE),a physical simulation module of VPDA is developed. Finally, a number of examples in similar applications are given for test. For example, the virtual disassembly & assembly, the logic operation of production line, simulation of equipment's operation, all these can fully verify the scientific and universality of VPDA.
