Heart disease is one of the main threats to human health. Dynamic electrocardiogram (DCG), i.e. Holter can continuously trace patient's heart activity in his daily life, and is essential for clinical diagnosis of heart disease. To develop high performance dynamic electrocardiogram monitor is of big significance. The fast developing embedded system also provides perfect measure for this development.The thesis presents the design of a Holter that adopts a high performance serie 51 MCU C8051F320 as the core of the apparatus. With the design of the circuits for ECG signals conditioning and the human-machine interfaces, the software for ECG signal processing, analysis and diagnosis, one of the focus of the thesis is on the design of the USB interface that facilitates the ECG data exchange between the Holter and other devices.The work done is described in details and it is hoped to put a good basis for the practical development.
