With the development of society, music&light performances have gradually become an important component of the New Town night. The effect of music&light performances depends directly on the design of programs. By virtue of design experiences,designers followed the music rhythm and designed repeatedly to pursue the most suitable lighting effects on the lighting console.This designing style exists some lacks.Due to the low-precision characteristics of traditional musical design and analysis in man-made, the paper put forward the method of using the computer to analyse the music file and identify its characteristics. Due to the limitation of controllable space of the lighting console,a computer-light designing platform is proposed. Due to the characteristics of long period and difficulty in traditional design methods, a method of the expert system matching between lighting motions and musical characteristics is proposed in this paper.Based on the above ideas,researches in this paper includes the following four aspects:(1)Recognition of musical characteristics. First of all, analyzing the standard MIDI file structure and extracting the music data from it, then analyzing the music structure in accordance with the beat and the characteristics of musical phrases, and finally statistically analysing melody and rhythm of musics according to notes sequence extracted. (2)Design of the lighting motion library. Combining with the structure and level character of lighting motions, using the framework of the network to build lighting motion library. (3)Music&light matches. Combining the elements of musics identified and lighting motion model, and using generated knowledge representation to realize the design of fact library and rule library in music&light matching expert system, and using the C-F uncertain and hybrid reasoning mechanism to match uniquely the music element and the lighting motion.(4)Implementation of the system software. Using the Visual C# programming language and SQL Server database to realize each functional module of music&light auxiliary design system.The system has been running more than one year in the "ChaoTianYangFan" music&light project in Chongqing, which not only can design the high-quality performance program efficiently, but also due to the studying mechanism of expert systems and matching rules have been continuously improving, light effects tends to become perfect.
