In this thesis, the structure of mid-temperature pit furnace is summarized, which is a plant .Non-parametric predictive fuzzy control system is designed.In the thesis, the pit furnace fuzzy temperature control system is designed according to the construction of fuzzy controller and the design approach of fuzzy control system. The selection of parameters and the institution of fuzzy control rules are focused on in details. The simulation results of fuzzy control and traditional PID control are compared.In accordance with the feature of a plant, for example, non-line, pure time delay, time-varying parameter, various controlling means are mentioned such as Dahlin's algorithm, Smith predictive control. The theorem of non-parametric predictive controller which can constantly trace the output of the controlled plant is discussed in details and the using way of the algorithm in the actual application is given. The non-parametric predictive fuzzy control system is established.In the thesis, the process of simulation of the designed system is provided. In each case, the results of simulation are analyzed , the control performance of the designed system is proved.
