With the increasing of the number of students in college and university,it is more and more complicated to implement the policy of sponsoring the poor students, because the former implement method works poorly in information acquiring,money granting,data storage and transfering,information statistic,and content search.On one hand,the internet,which can prove and transfer information,can effectively decrease the losing of information.On the other hand,with the fast enlargement of college and university,the number of student increases sharply.The management of more extensive and more complicated services,processing the growing amount of information for college management and even the entire education system.So,it is important to develop a mature management system for sponsoring the poor student using Internet and database resource.This paper design and implement a college and university scholarship management system using on XML searching,Web database and index based XQuery searching technology.In the process of system development,there is a lot of data to be loaded to customer.So,storing these data in the customer computer using XML technology,can lighten the depression of the server,and resolve the problem of low transfering speed caused by large a mount of data loading.Firstly,we introduce several XML search technology available in this paper, summarizing the character,searching model and implement method of XQuery Searching Language,study the index based XQuery optimized algorithm,summarize the virtue and defect,and improve the algorithm.Secondly,we introduce the index based XQuery optimized algorithm into our system.The results of experiment show that the method proposed in this paper performs better than former algorithm did. Finally,we present the future development of XML searching algorithm.
