White LED has many characteristics, for example energy saving, environmental protection and so on,it is considered that will replace the traditional lighting sources and will become the next generation solid lighting source.White LED has characteristics with short response time and high-speed modulation,it can be designed for indoor visible light wireless communications systems and networks based on white LED,finally realizes the dual role of lighting and communication,so that people can enjoy energy-efficient lighting,at the same time, can use white LED lighting to complete information exchanging and transferring.Analyzed and compared domestic and foreign visible light communication technology status, discussed lots of key technologies of communication system based on White LED array source. On the basis of analyzing the White LED's electrical and optical properties when it is used to be communication source, focused on analyzing carrier lifetime of LED active region and its influencing factors,on the other hand, discussed the relationship between junction capacitance and modulation rate.Through calculating the light intensity distribution function of LED,build a White LED array source which has the best distance among LEDs.Proposed an overall design project of visible light communication system based on white LED array source, had developed a prototype that can run actually.Researched and designed high-speed modulation circuit of White LED,visible light receiving circuit, and optical channel coding technology which suited for White LED well, provided a better basis of that further commercialization.
