With the development of information technology,as the information carrier, video and audio and other multimedia play an important role in Various fields of social life.But the mass of digital video hinds its application.In this case,as a new generation of video compression standards and its high-performance compression efficiency,H.264 becomes the focus of concern and research issues.Using MC/MP to eliminate temporal redundancy,DCT to eliminate spatial redundancy,also statistical to eliminate statistical redundancy,H.264 get a high-performance compression efficiency.With the development of the performance of embedded processor and the commercial application of 3G,H.264 will have a great aspect both in the wireless transmission channel and the limited-resource embeded system device.However,the performance of H.264 compression efficiency raises at the cost of growth of the algorithm complexity.and people care more about the real-time decoding in practical use.And embedded devices are limited in frequency,process ability,storage capacities and bus speed.it is necessary to optimize the transplantation method.This paper first introduce the H.264 standard and its new features in detail.Then focus on how to improve the module consuming time most.And then transplanted algorithm to ARM platform and optimize it.Finally finish the image decoding and show.The corresponding test result is given at the end.The article analyzes the decoding flow of H.264 reference software JM H.264 video encoding standard in detail,uses the tool to figure out the module time_cosuming,gives the Optimized method to the most time_consuming module such as sub_pixel Interpolation and block filtering.PC testing laboratories prove the superiority of the algorithm to improve and optimize the feasibility of computing.finally the algorithm is transplanted to the WINCE system,gives the method to accelerate image display,and make the final test results and performance evaluations.
