As a new user-oriented Web Service customization way, Active Service can automatically adapt to user's service requirements. It can help users find, customize and satisfy the user's needs to run the component procedures at Internet. The development of component technology provides the basis for implementation of Active Service. The description information of heterogeneous components can convert into Universal Component Description Language (UCDL) through the appropriate mapping algorithm. So it makes implementation of the call between the heterogeneous components possible.Although the UCDL provides a consistency of access method for different types of components, for an effective procedure for excavation in the Internet, we must reasonably organize, classify and manage these components. And we also provide component retrieval, analysis and other services to support the selection procedures for excavation. An effective procedure for excavation method is raised. First, build a Local Component Resource Warehouse (LCRW) in accordance with the norms of UCDL. And then organize and manage the components stored in LCRW in a predefined structure.Based on UCDL, this paper discusses the key technologies in LCRW. The article put forward a new organization of the component library on the basis of facet-based classification and relational model. Because there are some deficiencies exist in traditional faceted-based retrieval, it advances the full-text search way based on key word. At the same time, this way will expand user's query by use of synonyms table. Finally, a prototype system of LCRW is implemented. This system has some functions such as add, update and delete components. It also can do components retrieval in accordance with the user needs.The paper is divided into three parts. The first part describes the basic concepts of Active Service and the relationship between component technology and Active Service. It points out that active service is on the basis of component reuse technique. And this part introduces the key technical of LCRW, including description, storage, classification, organization and retrieval of components.The second part introduces the common classification and organizational methods of component library. It analyses deficiencies of messy organization and proposes the relational model. This model not only can store components effectively, and also simplify the process of maintenance and retrieval.The third part introduces the design of LCRW. It explicates components' storage, the analysis of user's needs and components' retrieval. Conventional method is lack of comprehensive for dealing with user's needs. In view of the above-mentioned facts, this part puts forward a way that can expand user's query properly based on synonym table. This way enriches the user's original query, and makes search results more perfectly. In addition, the use of full-text search technology has also increased the flexibility of query and retrieval efficiency.
