Intelligent Traffic Signal Control System Of Traffic Detection And Image Processing Algorithm

The importance of acquiring traffic information timely is self-evident. But traffic information collection methods can not satisfy the demand of traffic control and management at present. With the development of the computer technology, it's widely used for the technology based on the video in traffic. Compared with others video detection has the following advantages: wider detection scope, more flexible setup, and easier adjustment, convenient install and maintenance, richer traffic flow parameters. Therefore it has much meaning for detecting moving vehicles parameters by researching the crucial video technology.This paper is completed based on the project "Research on detecting technology on the mixed traffic flow characters by image recognition". We has an in-depth study on the contents of moving vehicles detecting and analyzes the mainly algorithms and technologies in detail such as background updating, shadow removing, vehicle segmentation and tracing. At last it has realized in Visual C ++6 .0 platform. The results indicate that the algorithm is feasible to some extent and can detect the target parameters rapidly in the scene.
