Based on the characteristics of low-light-level night vision imaging algorithm for the theoretical foundation, Efficient transfer of night vision images for the purpose of the proposed apply to low-light-level night vision image compression coding theory model .Designs a contourlet transform based on the low-light-level night vision image compression algorithm of the hardware system. And compared with wavelet transform.We do the detailed research of the contourlet transformation of the structure, as well as the realization of the principle and nature of the algorithm. And describes the advantage of Contourlet transform.We do the detailed research of wavelet image compression algorithm principle, as well as low-light-level imaging night vision features. Based on Contourlet transform we find the method of CLZC, so that the result of the compressed image better.In the hardware design, we choose the TMS320DM642 DSP. And use the CCS software to complete the night vision image compression hardware design.
