Research Of Customer Side Serial Active Power Filter

Serial Hybrid Active Power Filter can effectively suppress the harmonic voltage on the system side,thus to protect the load free from harmful harmonic voltage.The paper analysed principle and scope of application of various Active power Filters,summarized nearly all kinds of approaches of harmonics detection,and put an emphasis on the MATLAB simulation of the ways of both 3-phase and single-phase harmonic detection based on the instantaneous reactive power theory.In addition,the paper summerized all the four voltage harmonics detection modes of Serial APF.Finally,comprehensive simulations were executed for 3-phase linear/nonlinear loads and single-phase linear/nonlinear loads,which proves that Series Hybrid Active Power Filter can provide the user side load with high quality voltage supply,and reduce harmonic current content of the AC side of the load.
