The Research Of Network Flow Monitor On DCS System

With the development and popularization of network technology, the functions ofdistribution control system(DCS)has gradual improved, but there is no research on networktraffic monitoring of this system. When startup, shutdown or faults of thermal power plantoccurred, the network information flow will increase rapidly. Base on analyzing the methodsof network traffic monitoring, this paper proposed a network traffic monitoring system ofDCS in power plant. The system shows the flow in the form of images on time throughreading the NIC's information so that the current flow will be visable. The administrator anduser can achieve current traffic situation of network equipment and network line convenientlyand efficiently. The fact proved that network traffic monitoring system compiled by using Javalanguage is easy-to-use and universal. It provided the guarantee for safe and stable operationfor the system, and has the practical value of application.
