| Pu Xi Xiu is one of the famous female journalists in our country during the War of Resistance against Japan and the Third Revolutionary Civil War .She wrote a great deal of news works to exposure the darkness and corruption of the autocratic KMT, and participated in covering the negotiations between KMT and CPC in Chongqing and the old KMT's Political Consultative Conference and other major political events. No doubt it was the successful planning of covering of the old system of Political Consultative Conference that made her become famous overnight and a well-known journalist.This paper tries to explain this from three aspects: the contents of her works, her written art and her idealogical style.Firstly, Pu Xi Xiu'news work is rich in content and covers a wide range, such as , the true record of the history from 1937 to 1948 ; the full reflection of the ups and downs in the then current situation and the fightings among the various political forces during this period. All her works cover the situation of Anti-Japanese War in which there is a nation-wide hatred of the Japanese aggressors ; the vivid scenes of showing democracy in national political consultative conferences in the beginning and of which democracy will surely shine with greater splendor on the old People's Political Consultative Conference ; the detailed truth of the bumpy experience of the peace talks between two Parties and of final falling of the utterly isolated Nanjing Government .And her works also portrays a lot of important political figures, mainly the political area where there are not only bigwigs in the Kuomintang but prominent political elites in the Communist Party as well. Through these reports, she shows the tendency of times and boldly unmasks the social reality of that times, such as corruption, the people's livelihood problem, the post-war future of Chinese and so on.Secondly, Pu Xi Xiu's news works also shows pecuilar: wide range of subjects, such as, politic, economy, culture, education, art, public feelings,and other aspects . But she is good at writing the reflection of the changes of current situation in national political themes. Her genre of writing is diverse and she is good at"tailoring based on the exact nature of the need and status of the current state"--- According to the content of subject matter, the expression of subject and reality , she flexibly uses a various styles of news .These styles fully embody in news, correspondance, features, exclusive interviews and other kind of news works .She learns widely from others' strong points and employs a variety of writing practices to enhance the appeal of her news works .Meanwhile, the use of simple description practices enhances the readability of the news; The adoption of the Spring and Autumn Strokes increases the credibility of journalism ; The use of direct quotations enhances the liveness of news; And the application of discussions and expressions of her feelings increases the depth of news. In a word, Pu Xi Xiu is always able to report news with different suitable words according to total different content of news.
