As the technology develops and the requirement of application expands,the traditional method that different device had their different fixed styles of HMI,significantly influenced the whole system harmony and consistency.The new technology of OSGi and OSGi framework,fundamentally changed the HMI design precept and implementation methods,and finally modified the traditional Web development model.This paper introduced OSGi specification,OSGi framework technology,bundle working mechanism,bundle life-cycle and so on.It discussed the key features of the OSGi,communication method,and how to apply the bundle,web application plug-ins to convert the page install-remove method,so as to separate the bundle interface, plug-in and different applications.Based on the study of OSGi specification,framework and plug-ins install,operating mechanism,the author integrated the OSGi technology to the Web development modle, designed a new HMI system architecture,analysed the relation between different module,the detailed working process,HMI manager arbitration algorithm,and the key technology which to implement the application module and its display module install, operate and upgrade independently.This paper combined the achievement of study with the application of CNPC(China National Petroleum Corporation) ERP system.This paper took the Token Notice Information Module of CNPC ERP system as example,applied the Web plug-in for compatibility and queue,to solve the issue of Web application plug-in for web page and function,and finally illustrated how to develop the OSGi based Web application,and build the new Web development model with the features of mobility,flexibility and security.In the end,the paper sumarried the features of the OSGi-based web development model,the improvement of OSGi plug-in based HMI architecture comparing with the traditional HMI system and the maintainence of Web system mobility,the still remained space for improving and the direction for future research.
