Having considered the urgent demand for information security and the important position of encryption technology in information security,the thesis introduced the significance,the present situation,the main content and organizational structure.The concept,development and the importance of data encryption technology were analysed.The working principle and characteristics of LZW lossless compression algorithm,DES,3DES,and RSA encryption algorithm were discussed.Particularly, large numbers generating,primality testing and Modular computing,which directly affect the speed of RSA were analyzed and discussed.These provided a comprehensive theoretical basis for this subject.The dictionary's capacity in LZW algorithm is limited and the speed of RSA algorithm is slow,two improved algorithm were given to solve these problems with a view of engineering application.The ideas and descriptions of these two improved algorithms were proposed in the thesis.A large amount of testing show these two improved algorithms have good performances.The symmetrical-key algorithm has high speed,the public-key algorithm has well security,so a combinative encryption algorithm was proposed and designed based on these two advantages.The application testing and performance analysis show that the algorithm have good performance on high speed,well security and more convenience management for the key.At last,the results of this research subject are summarized,the reseach direction and further research work of this subject are adviced.
