During about a century of development, the technology of ultrasonic has been used widely in the fields of national defense, national economy and people's life. As the device that produces ultrasonic, the transducer has been pay attention to, and becomes the key technology of the application of ultrasonic. As people do research in the transducer deeply, broadening the bandwidth of the transducer becomes the new theme. The wide-band transducer can enhance the quality of information received in the application of detection and testing; and also enhance the efficiency of ultrasonic vibration system in the application of sewage treatment and ultrasonic washing, and reduces the wear and tear of transducer. Developing the wide-band transducer with holes based on the analysis of mechanism about the way of broaden the bandwidth, and analyzes the impact of broadening the bandwidth.In the design process, the bandwidth-hole size curve is gained by the way of simulation based on the simplified model of wide-band transducer with holes, which provide the gist of choosing optimized size of holes. Establish the electrical and mechanical equivalent network of quarter-wavelength transducer, gain the boundary- condition of quarter-wavelength horn based on analysis, and calculate the transducer subsection by both of these two methods synthetically, in order to predigest the design process.Establish the ultrasonic vibration system with the wide-band transducer. A new type of wide-band transducer with holes which generated for a single longitudinal ultrasonic vibration has been designed. Realize the way of broaden the band-width through making holes in the back of quarter-wavelength horn, and optimize the size of holes; Calculate the position of nodal plane and make the flange here. In the way of analyzing the impedance of transducer with float, study on the work law of transducer with load.Do the finite element analysis on the transducer, determine finite element analysis program of the piezoelectric transducer and establish the finite element model. Through observing of resonant and vibration mode, validate the design parameters of transducer. Establish the testing platform based on the wide-band transducer with holes. Using the Impedance Analyzer to validate the parameters are meet the design requirements of transducer based on the test experiment, and test the band-width of the transducer without load. In the last, get the conclusion that the designed wide-band transducer with holes has the great effect to broaden the transducer's band-width, and the resonant frequency offset does not overstep the band-width.
