Automation Equipment Communication Middleware Technology Research

With the rapid development of science & technology and modern industrial production, the requirement on electronic measurement and instrumentation technology become more and more high. The test content and objects become more complex, and the workload increasing fast day up day, so the automatic test system (ATS) becomes an inevitable choice. But in ATS hardware replacement and software upgrade require a huge cost. The middleware mentioned in this paper is IVI middleware (Interchangeable virtual instrument), and it provides a new idea for problem which is mentioned behind.The main contents of this article will be shown behind:This paper embarkes from the automated test system development's demand, has analyzed the virtual instrument as well as the correlation technique research present situation, use IVI middleware technology, it provides the new way for hardware's replace and the promotion needed the huge software update expense in the solution automated test system.Firstly, it does an in-depth research on the basic principle of com and IVI, then discussed the development process of IVI-COM class driver, designed and achieved the IVI engine for the managing each property on configuration storage, summarized the IVI-COM drive hierarchy, and designed the IVI-COM drive for DMM. With reference to IVI technical standards, designed a customized serial communication IVI-COM drive, which is encapsulated the common properties and functionality from serial bus devices, CAN bus apparatus, Bus1553 instrument, digital TO devices. And in order to verify the correctness of design, some function testing for the serial communication instrument was done.The application instances show that the IVI software architecture can provide a good way for instruments' interchange ability and testing application's reuse ability. Using the criterion of IVI middleware technology can provide a uniform standard interface for the application layer, so developers can concentrate more time on the logical construction of the application without considering platform differences.
