Recently, the technology of robot vision was improving with the development of science and technology in various fields, emerging some successful vision systems. However, traditional methods based on the algorithms could not meet the demands. As a critical subject, research of robot vision based on the biological mechanism contains a comprehensive theoretical, such as visual physiology, cognitive neuroscience, computational neuroscience science, physiological psychology, robotics, and modern mathematics. Researches on this subject stimulate the visual perception theory and robot technology as well as the mechanism of biological vision and in-depth study of the development of cognitive science. This dissertation focuses on the cognition of location in the robot vision based on electrophysiology, anatomy and brain science research for the theory, following the primate's visual system as a model.Chapter 2 introduces the definition and classification of the primate visual cortex, giving the brain region of two-dimensional reconstruction map of primate visual cortex. Borders of regions of the visual cortex have been defined and The theory of two pathways of the visual cortex in primates was introduced. Chapter 3 describes the regional organizations of primate retina and visual cortex in detail. The regional organizations of visual cortex was defined, according to electrophysiology projection from the relationship and connection, a single-cell recording and anatomical connections, the relationship between cell structure and connectivity. The projection relationship between retina, primary visual cortex and advanced visual cortex was found. The expression method and the paths of different parts of our vision in cortex were described. Chapter 4 designs two-dimensional coordinate's software of visual cortex using the projection disciplines between retina and visual cortex. Also, this chapter designs the various scopes of regions of the visual cortex in the software for the expression on the vision, showing the relationship between vision, retinopathy of software, and the visual cortex in detail. A discussion of the location of a point was held.Chapter 5 describes and proves the mathematical laws hidden in the location cognition using knowledge of category and topology. Through the description, the disciplines of information transmission and the structural features of biological and robotic visual systems were revealed. Chapter 6 of this article in C + + builder software environment for the conduct of a number of simple experiments, through the programming experiment, the vision of a better description of the various parts of the region in the software presented in the visual cortex results. Chapter 7 of this article are summarize of the research and the prospect. In this paper, the main conclusions were as follows:(1)To explore the work mechanism of primate visual system,And use it to design the robot vision system is entirely feasible, the location of a "point" the initial cognitive can be achieved.(2)The mechanism of primate visual system and the mechanism of robot visual system satisfy the equivalence relation of topological.(3) In the process of Location information cognitive, a different constitute combination of elements in space of the visual cortex region, representative of the different concept cognitive. These cognitive processes occur in parallel. In this paper, to explore the mathematical structure of the major are as follows:(1)The visual cortex region of organisms constitutes a discrete topological space respectively.(2)The entire visual cortex system of organisms constitute of topological product space.(3) V2 and its outlying areas have a projection relationship between the various cortical regions of the two functions in all of the features, if they have the same source, it has a homology between the two functional relations. V4 project area has a direct relationship with its various cortical regions of the two functions in all of the features, if they have the same source, it has a homology between the two functional relations. Homologous relationship with the two functions and constitute a homology relationship between the areas of homology.(4) PO Area projection with which they have relations between the cortical region of the full functionality of the two functions, if they have the same target, then the two have the same target function relationship. Have the same relationship between the two functions of the target and its relationship with the target composition with the target areas.(5) V2 pass through the area to more advanced visual cortex region of the visual pathway in the transmission of information with a parallel relationship between the two pathways, the two transmission channels in parallel and constitute a parallel relationship between the areas.(6) All of the visual information transmission pathway start with the same functional and its corresponding timing chain constitutes a parallel relationship between the scope of a parallel timing chain.
