Motion analysis of mechanism is important in analysis of mechanism. That acquiring the displacement, velocity and acceleration of points on the components and angular displacement, angular velocity and angular acceleration of components is very necessary because real motion parameters are often requisite for analysis in the theory researching and project application. In this thesis, with CCD and digital image processing technology, the time-change-sequence images of slider-crank mechanism which is a kind of typical planar mechanism are processed, and these images are gathered by CCD camera. This method shows the advantage of non-contact measurement of CCD and covers the shortage of other transducers.Based on the theory of digital image processing and numerical analysis, digital image processing program are written by Visual C++, matching operation are applied to the images gathered by CCD camera. After comparing the anti-interference ability and the anti-rotation ability of NNPROD,IM,SSDA, a new matching method which based on NNPROD is presented. This new method for rotating targets not only has higher accuracy, but also with help of improved searching strategy, this new method has higher algorithm speed and lower matching mistakes. After compared with other several numerical analysis methods, Polynomial fitting method is applied to calculate the parameters of motion of the mechanism.
